With Spring Break just a few weeks away, I'm sure you're all wondering how to plan the perfect spring break trip. Last year around this time my friends and I knew we wanted to take advantage of spring break, especially since we all had just turned 21, but we didn't know where to start. Where would we go? How would we pay for airfare and a hotel? How long would we stay? We had so many questions.

After doing hours of research on destinations, airfare, and hotels...we settled on Miami. We figured this would be a good place to experience our first real spring break together, especially because there would be kids our age traveling to Miami at the same time as us for their break. After convincing our parents that we would be responsible and stick together, they agreed to our plan, and we began booking airfare and flights.

Tip 1:

We booked our flight out of the Philadelphia International Airport. This airport's flights were significantly cheaper than flying out of Newark, LaGuardia, or JFK. (the more ideal and more popular airports for us) So, research and compare flights! The airport you normally fly out of might be more expensive than a smaller or less popular airport.

Tip 2:

We decided to stay at The Clevelander Hotel in South Beach Miami. This hotel was right across the street from the beach and was in the heart of South Beach. This means...there were kids everywhere who were on spring break, which made us feel safer. There were also spring break discounts and deals at stores and restaurants all around our hotel, so we saved a lot of money staying at a popular hotel for spring break. So definitely research what hotels most people stay at for spring break, wherever you choose to vacation at this time of the year.

If you do decide to stay in Miami for spring break, there are a few things I recommend doing. Personally, we took advantage of the night life in Miami because it is so different than back home. We went to E11EVEN and LIV at the Fontainebleau. These clubs were the biggest and most extravagant clubs I've ever seen, so if this is something you're interested in, definitely try to go to these two. Another tourist attraction that is worth seeing is the Versace Mansion. To eat at the mansion is obviously pricey, but it is beautiful and would definitely be a cool experience. (We didn't eat here, but you can take pictures in front of the mansion!)

So, if you're planning on going on a spring break trip this year, I hope these tips helped you! Thanks for reading and stay tuned for my next post!
