We all have that one place we've vacationed that we fall in love with and never want to leave. For me that place is Aruba. I've been lucky enough to have traveled there twice in my life, but I hope to go back soon. It is just such a beautiful and tropical place, like nothing I've ever experienced before. If you do decide to go to Aruba, here are some things you should make sure you have on your to-do list!
1. Jeep Tour
There are so many different Jeep and ATV tours to choose from, but both times I've went, my family has rented our own jeep and just took the whole day to explore. If you didn't know, Aruba is known for their beautiful beaches...but it also has desert areas too. This is something I would've never known if we hadn't done the jeep tour. There are restricted areas where you can't drive, like some of the beaches because of dunes, but for the most part you can go free and explore the island.
2. Baby Beach
Baby Beach is a shallow, man made beach in Aruba. It is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I've been in my whole life. The water is so shallow, that it is even safe for children...which is where it got its name. The water is also extremely clear so you have the opportunity to see exotic wildlife when at this beach. We went to Baby Beach at the end of our jeep tour one day.
3. Big Mama Grill (Baby Beach)
This restaurant is the most authentic place I ate at while in Aruba. It is an outdoor restaurant with bar and restaurant seating located right in Baby Beach in San Nicholas. You can get fresh fish, chicken with rice and bean platters, various sandwiches, plantains, and so much more. When I was there I got a chicken platter with rice and beans and it was delicious. If you want to try authentic Aruban food, you have to try Big Mama Grill.
4. Eduardo's Beach Shack
Eduardo's is located right on the beach and serves acai and pitaya bowls. They are delicious fruit smoothie bowls filled to the brim with fresh fruit and toppings like granola, coconut, and even Nutella. On a hot day, one of their bowls is sure to be refreshing!
Aruba is one of my favorite places in the world and I wish I could go back every year. If you get the chance to go, I definitely recommend checking these places out! Thanks for stopping by!
